The Oakland Municipal Band is funded by donations.
All our donations go to putting on the concert season. Except for small amounts for music, insurance, and equipment, our expenses are the salaries of our musicians, who are all professionals.

If you are retired and required to make minimum withdrawals from your retirement plan, you may donate directly from your plan. This will offset your minimum withdrawal amount, and not count as taxable income, even if you do not itemize deductions! Consult your plan administrator to arrange for a donation!

You may donate by credit card through Paypal. Although we appreciate Paypal for providing this service, we do pay them a percentage of each transaction.
We have experienced intermittent problems with our donations form. We believe we have resolved the issue, but if you receive an “Access denied” message, please let us know.

The Friends of the Oakland Municipal Band is a California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation, and is a non-profit 501 ( c ) (3) organization. All donations to the Friends of the Oakland Municipal band are tax-deductible to the extent of the law.
All donors to the Oakland Municipal Band become members of the Friends of the Oakland Municipal Band. Members who donate $100 or more are voting members.
